Just to let you know that I have read your article in the Our Canada magazine and want you to that my husband & I have been burying our roses for over 16 years and it works well. The only thing you do that I'll start doing this year is prune the roses before we bury them. I usually do that in spring..actually two of the roses look not too good this year so I'll buy a couple more, but I can't believe how well burying them works. Usually they are full of leaves when my husband digs them out... Thanks for all the wonderful advice. Do you also sell roses?
Thanks.

Your pictures are gorgeous! I have a hard time with my tea roses also because of the colder weather we are now having. Lots of mulch and containing.

I have been Growing roses for 40 years and can relate to all your problems you mentioned on your home page.
To winter over my roses I hill them up with soil. Lack spot is one of my greatest problems and leaf dropage.
